Biography

I’ve been around animals my whole life from hamsters to horses. When I was a little girl, if I found a lost dog I wouldn’t hesitate to try bringing it home! I graduated from Vincennes University with a Law Enforcement Conservation degree to become a game warden but while attending Vincennes I started a job as an animal control officer. Once I started that job I immediately fell in love with what I did every day. I felt like that’s what I was meant to do. I wanted to work closer with animals. Therefore, I hope to continue to learn new things & see where Coyne takes me!

If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
I’d want to have a wild Mustang!
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
My dogs Dozer my lab pit mix & Leo my yorkie! Dozer I adopted when I worked for animal control he’s the best boy. My favorite thing about him is how much of a connection we had since day 1 he’s absolutely my soul dog. My other dog Leo is a good boy most of the time but he has major intrusive thoughts about biting every day!
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
What I find most rewarding is being able to make the nervous animals comfortable & trusting of you & just showing them everything’s okay!
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy anything outdoors I love the simple things like taking my dogs out fishing with me while they run around in the water & go crazy when I catch a fish. Or riding my horse full speed in an open field!
