Helping and caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. I’ve always dreamed of being a vet tech. My old neighbor was a vet tech. I saw how much she loved what she did and the people she worked with. When I noticed how happy she was with her job, it made me want to be a vet tech more than ever.
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
If I could have any animal in the world, it would be an otter. Otters are very friendly and love to cuddle.
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
My dogs are Max, Tori, and Peanut. My guinea pigs are Daisy and Lily. My ferrets are Chloe, Scout, Bandit, Izzy, and Gizmo. My favorite thing about the dogs is how loving they are. My favorite thing about the guinea pigs is their squeaks when they hear the treat bag. My favorite thing about the ferrets is how playful they are.
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
I feel the most rewarding thing about working with animals is helping and healing them. Also, constructing a bond with those animals is very rewarding.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
When I am not working I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, and visiting my friends and family.
