I decided to go into animal care because I have always been surrounded by animals my entire life, and have always loved and adored being around them.
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
I would choose a brown bear because I feel like I would be very well protected and if it’s my pet it’ll basically be my very own overgrown, alive, fluffy teddy bear.
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
I have two dogs, Otis and Cash, three cats, Chunk, Molly, and Kitkat, as well as some poultry, such as chickens, geese, and turkeys. My favorite thing about my dogs is how protective and sweet they are. And my favorite thing about my cats is how funny and adorable they are.
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
To be able to improve an animal’s life and to create a bond with each that you meet, I think, is my most rewarding feeling while working with animals.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy reading, hanging with friends, and bringing my dogs to new parks for them to explore.
What causes are you most passionate about?
Breast Cancer, American Humane, and Suicide Prevention + Depression awareness.
