I’m going into my sophomore year at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where I am studying animal sciences on the pre-vet track! Working in the kennel is one step forward to pursuing my goal of becoming a veterinarian. Other than my career I love caring for animals! Who wouldn’t want to see such cute faces and personalities every day!
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
If I could have any pet in the world I would want a giraffe! I have long legs myself and have always been fascinated in how their babies come out taller than humans!
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
I have one beagle. Her name is Bailey Mae and I love how she gives hugs and buries herself into her blankets.
What causes are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about conservation. I feel that oftentimes people forget that it’s also the animal’s first time living too. I want to be able to treat animals that feel ill or are injured in an environment comfortable to them and safe.
