My Oliver went through a health scare recently and as scary as it was, every person I encountered through that experience was helpful, understanding, and kind. My pets have always been so important to me and now being in this field, I get to try and be that person for someone else and it is so rewarding.
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
My first choice is always going to be a dog. I just think they’re the best but if I had to chose, probably a hedgehog!
Do you currently have any pets? What type and what are their names?
I have a Rottie/Lab mix named Oliver, a Shepard/Lab mix named Mia, and an orange tabby named Perseus! They’re the loves of my life!
What is your favorite thing about working with animals?
Being able to help owners take care of their family members is first. Getting to pet and cuddle them as I do is also an added bonus! I also love that every day I come to work, I learn a new, invaluable piece of information that makes me a better pet owner.
