I decided I wanted to get into the veterinary field a few months before graduating from high school. I’ve loved animals since I was very young, so I decided to do vet tech school. After doing an externship at Coyne I decided that working as a vet assistant would give me a great experience. I am working on graduating to become an RVT.
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
I would have a horse, I just have always loved them. I love how free and beautiful they look.
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
I currently have 2 dogs, Achilles a bull terrier, and Patol a chihuahua they are 5 and 8 years old. I love how loving and loyal they are. They always follow me around the house.
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
I find it most rewarding when they come in looking so sick and as they feel better you can slowly see them get their personality back.
