I have always had a love for animals. Treating them is my passion and I have always wanted to be a veterinarian. This is the perfect way for me to get a foot in the door of my chosen career path.
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
I could never see myself owning anything other than a domesticated animal. I would love to have a Cane Corso in the future. It is my favorite breed of dog.
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
I have a Whipador (whippet-lab mix). Her name is Harley and she is the sweetest dog I have ever met. She loves people.
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
Earning trust from even the shyest animals is the most rewarding thing for me.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I tend to find myself reading constantly. Whether it be trying to further my knowledge or immerse myself in a mystical world of the unknown.
What causes are you most passionate about?
The Animal Welfare Institute. Their mission is to save all living animals from any form of inhumane and violent treatment. I am also passionate about The Marine Mammal Center, whose mission is to advance global ocean conservation through marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation, scientific research, and education.
