I’ve always loved animals and strived to help those in need. After working as a kennel attendant for two years I was inspired to become a tech assistant to become closer to the patients that needed help the most.
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
Capuchin Monkey, I took a trip to Mexico and the wild monkeys would come up onto the resort and I fed them by hand every day and fell in love with them.
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
I have two dogs, Stitch and Pepper. My favorite thing about Stitch is how loving she is towards everyone even after having an unfortunate life before I rescued her. My favorite thing about Pepper is simply her being an odd dog. It’s her world we’re just living in it.
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
You’re given opportunities to connect with each patient, especially those who are fearful and nervous. Being able to gain an animal’s trust and provide comfort during their visit is what I value the most.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Golfing with my family and friends.
