Frequently Asked Questions About Pet Adoption

We are located at 10801 Wicker Ave, St. John, IN 46373.

Animals are kept sheltered until they find homes, no matter how long it takes unless they are seriously ill and their quality of life is considered unacceptable by a DVM.

The spay/neuter procedure must be done by the time a pet is 6 months of age. If it is not completed in the allotted time, any fees associated with the spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the adopter. Pets older than 6 months of age at the time of adoption will be spayed/neutered before leaving the hospital.

We get our adoptables through Jellystone Bark’s Rescue Rangers who rescue countless adoptable pets awaiting their avoidable fate of euthanasia in high-kill facilities. This gives these precious pets a second chance and all the time they need to find their forever homes.

As all dogs we get are rescues, and often mixed breeds, our veterinarians provide an educated guess based on the physical features of the animal as well as information provided by the rescue.
