Online Vet Visits in St. John, IN

At Coyne Veterinary Center, we know how much you value ease and accessibility—especially when it comes to veterinary medicine. We understand it’s not always easy to make it to the clinic, which is why we’re proud to introduce online vet visits! Our veterinary telemedicine app will allow you to connect to your veterinarian from the comfort of home.

During the coronavirus pandemic, telemedicine is important now more than ever. It provides a safe way to get your pet the care they need while also practicing social distancing.

How to Get Started

Using our telemedicine app, Medici, is as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Download the Medici app from the Apple or Google Play store
  2. Connect with Coyne Veterinary Center St. John by entering this code: 2KMJIH5A52
  3. Request a consultation!

Consultations will be scheduled during these hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 7pm; Saturday 8am-3pm; and Sunday 9am-2pm. When you initiate a consultation on the app, our staff may ask you a few questions so that they can better inform the veterinarian before your consult. When they have gotten enough background information pertinent to your pet's illness or injury, you will be transferred to speak with a doctor as soon as one becomes available.

When Should I Use Telemedicine?

In order to provide the best and most accurate medical advice over telemedicine, it’s important that we have a strong veterinarian-client-patient relationship with you and your cat or dog. Therefore, we can only use telemedicine with our current clients, and we ask that your pet be up to date on their annual exam, too. Additionally, since telemedicine is a digital tool, only some medical issues can be appropriately handled over an online vet visit.

Issues we may be able to solve with telemedicine include:

  • Minor symptoms such as an ear infections, skin infections, sneezing, coughing, or diarrhea
  • A behavioral change such as scratching more than usual, licking their paws, or sleepier than normal
  • Limping or minor limb pain
  • Questions or concerns regarding your pet’s ongoing care
  • Recheck exams after simple procedures or surgeries

If your pet is having an emergency, do not use telemedicine, but call our animal hospital directly at (219) 627-3264!

What Does it Cost for an Online Vet Visit?

Consultations cost $29. Payment will be taken at the end of the consultation, with the payment information you provided in the Medici app. Should your pet need medication or further testing in our hospital, those services will incur additional costs.
